This is how the grand concert back stage in the choir room turned out in my eyes:
There was 2 groups, the group that wanted everyone to shut up, (mostly the class leaders) and the people that wanted the class leaders to take a chill pill. I wasn't really in either of the groups..... i don't think. But the funny thing was, they were both right. yes, thats right Leslie, they weren't being respectfull, But Jennah over here, was also right. Oh, but here comes the catch!
They were both wrong.
Haha, didn't see that coming did you? You see, being a class leader, you don't need to be that....... mad, at the choir, for not listening. theres 94+ in that room, and you think their gonna shut up? False class leaders, False. Plus the fact that im sure that half the noise was people telling the other people to shut up. And how I see it, people just don't put that type of respect, into student leaders. Mr Manning, for instance, has stage presence. He makes the group quiet with his presence, in a way that students cant copy. I think part of it is because You aren't as old as him. Being an Adult, he not only gets to drive, but he also gets more than twice the respect that anyone our age will get. And one thing, that might help. Is Mr Manning is nicer. You know, the home teacher lesson this month is about looking for the good. And i've noticed a bit, that the student leaders are just shoving us into the ground. No offense to the leaders, I know how it is to be in their shoes! Noone listens, and no respect is given, but the least you could do is give us some respect....... please? Yeah, we got 1 note wrong, but no good word for the volume? the part that we just worked all class period working on, that we got Amazingly correct? A bit of encouragement would be nice. Even a little "Good job guys! You got it perfectly!" would suffice. Yeah you get no respect, I understand that. But neither do we.
Now, Don't worry Class leaders, im not completely hating on you. Its our fault too. We won't shut up. nope. Our mouths won't close. Well most of the time. We talk. I heard from someone, during the grand concert, people in the choir were talking DURING the performance. I know right? WHY?! So.... Why do we do it? Im not really too sure, tell you the truth. And yes, it is annoying when you won't shut up. and yes it is disrespectful. obnoxious. Just think, your talking to a group. No, no, wait, i've got a better one, your preforming to an audience, and they're talking. while your singing, their not even paying attention, they're just talking, texting, eating, entertaining themselves. You could stop singing and the audience wouldn't even listen. Here's another one: You instruct another on something you don't like thats buggin you. They're poking you, they're bugging you in class, something like that. And for one reason or another, they don't listen. They don't comprehend what your trying to say, and what do you know, they keep bugging you in class, they keep touching you in a way that you don't like. They didn't listen, or in other words, follow the instruction how you wanted. Now, the class leaders are that person that instructed another person to stop doing things. they are the person preforming. and you guys, the choir, are the audience, or the person thats not listening. They do care that your flirting with them. They do! I can Promise you! So please just Stop Talking. Please? There are other times for that. like...... not in choir. Thanks for reading! hopefully you get my message.
i got it. thanks.
ReplyDeleteI got it. That is really insightful. Maybe we should switch up class leaders?....
ReplyDeletei think we should. maybe a group of us could talk to manning, for i am far to shy to talk to him myself about this matter or else i would have months ago.
